Meaning and background
The story behind Armin
Armin is a German given name recorded as a modern form of Arminius. The same spelling also appears in other naming traditions, so one blanket ‘warrior’ translation would be unreliable. For a dog, the name is concise and readily distinguishable from Arnie or Arnold, despite its similar beginning. Its precise historical meaning has deliberately been left open.
