Meaning and background
The story behind Copito
Copito can recall Copito de Nieve, the albino gorilla whose life is documented by Barcelona Zoo. The zoo explicitly connects his Spanish name with the English Snowflake and Catalan Floquet de Neu, and its history also uses Copito alone when remembering his death in 2003. This provides a particular animal namesake for the shortened choice. It does not establish Copito as a traditional personal name with one universal etymology.
