The story behind Hedi
Hedi has an exact fashion namesake in designer Hedi Slimane. LVMH's January 2018 announcement recorded his appointment to lead Céline's artistic, creative and image work, and referred to his earlier Dior Homme work. That supplies a concrete design-world connection for the spelling. The announcement is a historical namesake source, not a name dictionary, so it cannot settle the different linguistic histories that may lie behind other people or dogs named Hedi.
