Meaning and background
The story behind Kronk
Kronk moves from henchman to cook across Disney’s Emperor’s New Groove films. The studio identifies him with Yzma in the 2000 film, while the 2005 follow-up gives him a diner and a difficult attempt to impress his visiting father. A fan may choose the name for its comic sound, a favourite scene or the cooking connection. These are particular character associations, rather than a linguistic translation of Kronk. The fictional role also need not be a description of the dog’s intelligence or behaviour.
