Meaning and background
The story behind Kuzya
Kuzya is a familiar-sounding Russian pet form of Kuzma, written Кузя in Cyrillic. It also features as the name of a little house spirit in a Soviet children’s cartoon. The diminutive background makes it particularly natural as an informal call name, but a separate literal meaning for Kuzya itself should not be inferred from the longer name.

- Russian affectionate diminutive of Kuzma (Кузьма). Source
