Meaning and background
The story behind Laci
Laci has more than one legitimate name history. In modern English it is a spelling of Lacy, usually LAY-see, whose older surname line runs through Normandy. In Hungarian, however, Laci is a familiar form of László and is pronounced differently. A dog record containing only the Latin-letter spelling does not reveal which tradition the owner intended.
