Meaning and background
The story behind Lucero
Lucero is a Spanish word for a bright star or Venus, particularly the morning star. There is an especially apt canine detail: Spain’s Royal Academy also uses lucero for a dark-coated quadruped with a white mark on its forehead. That makes it meaningful for a dog with such a blaze, without pretending that every dog bearing the name has one.
