Meaning and background
The story behind Taiyo
Taiyo has a documented flower-name association in the Royal Horticultural Society’s tree-peony entry Paeonia × suffruticosa ‘Taiyo’. It describes red, semi-double flowers with golden anthers and lists The Sun as a cultivar synonym. That gives a garden-inspired dog name a particular plant reference without requiring an assumed translation for every Japanese personal name written Taiyo. The same entry flags the actual plant as a possible skin irritant for pets. Its usefulness as naming inspiration is separate from suitability as a dog-accessible garden plant.
