Meaning and background
The story behind Toshiki
Toshiki has a Japanese music namesake in Toshiki Kadomatsu. Sony Music's official concert announcement bills him with that Roman-letter name and the Japanese writing 角松敏生, while his own website records forty-fifth-anniversary performances. These primary sources give a music-loving owner a checked artist reference for a dog name. They do not establish a single universal translation for Toshiki: interpreting a Japanese personal name requires its intended characters, which need not be the musician's.
