Meaning and background
The story behind Tricky
Tricky is an English adjective for something difficult to manage, or someone inclined to clever deception. Both senses are attested in Collins. A pet might be named Tricky in light-hearted recognition of behaviour, but the adjective does not scientifically predict temperament. It is therefore best described as an ordinary word name with a mildly teasing sound, not a personal name from another language.
