Meaning and background
The story behind Espn
Espn has an initial-based sports-media association with the network normally styled ESPN. Its contemporary 1979 review expands the name as Entertainment and Sports Programming Network and records its September launch from Bristol, Connecticut. Later company history identifies SportsCenter with the opening day. For a dog, Espn may commemorate watching sport with family or a connection to broadcasting. Recording the intended spoken form is useful because the letters do not themselves establish one pronunciation for a pet’s name.
