Meaning and background
The story behind Geri
Geri is a short English form of Geraldine, with the same light two-syllable pronunciation as Gerry. The spelling also occurs in a quite separate Old Norse mythological name for one of Odin's wolves. Those are different naming histories, not two translations of the English diminutive. The spelling works neatly as a dog's call name, but a profile should keep those traditions apart.
