Meaning and background
The story behind Traffic
Traffic normally refers to vehicles travelling on roads or, more generally, the movement of people, vehicles and goods. It is an unusual noun to put on a dog's tag, which makes its literal associations worth explaining without guessing the owner's reasons. The word also occurs in darker phrases concerning illicit trade; those uses should not be confused with the ordinary road-traffic sense.
