Meaning and background
The story behind Xenon
Xenon is the name of chemical element 54, a colourless noble gas. Chemists William Ramsay and Morris Travers isolated it in 1898, and its name was formed from a Greek word meaning 'stranger'. That derivation belongs to the scientific term; it does not establish Xenon as a traditional personal name. For a science-minded dog owner, the actual periodic-table reference is more interesting and verifiable than imaginative claims about mysterious personality traits.
